Design and features
From unboxing to complete assembly, it took just over half an hour, and I was shocked at how easy it was to put together. Even beginners can easily assemble it by following the video tutorial.
The Hummer collapsible ebike is powered by a 1000W motor. It has 5 levels of speed adjustment. You can also freely set the top speed and has pedal assist and cruise control functions.
The Hummer rides on 20-inch wheels with 4-inch wide tires, and comes with an adjustable seat and handlebars. Overall, this electric mountain bike is a good size for most people. Said to fit people 4’8″ to 6’3″ tall. I’m 6’2″ so I’m a little tall, but I didn’t have any issues riding it. The emtb is rated to carry 396 pounds. I weigh close to 300 pounds. There is no weight-bearing problem when sitting on it.
When folded, the main frame splits in half and the front tire folds onto the rear tire. The handlebar is also foldable, making the folded ebike smaller.
The RANDRIDE Hummer folding ebike have an advertised range of 57+ miles on pure electric power (throttle only). I got 54 miles using only the throttle. I’m really happy with the battery life as I’m sure part of it is my weight.
Setup / Operation
Once assembled, setup is very simple. If the battery is charged, just press and hold the on/off key (middle button) on the display (left side of the handlebar) for a few seconds until the display wakes up. The other buttons can switch gears and adjust speed.
This button also serves as a control for sorting individual screens. Once the display is powered on, you will see the speed, mileage, selected PAS level and battery charge indicator along with power. Additionally, the display can also adjust brightness, ebike parameters, and has USB charging function.
The left button is used to set the Pedal Assist Setting (PAS). Comes from the factory with five PAS settings, numbered 0-5, where 0 means no PAS and 5 relates to the highest 34 MPH (54 KPH) setting. You can freely switch between throttle drive or pedal-assisted drive. It feels different and very interesting!
Overall, I think the RANDRIDE Hummer folding electric bike is a great option for new riders, even though it is a folding ebike, it has a strong frame. This kind of fold up electric bike is suitable for users who need to go to work but do not need to ride long distances. I told customer service which ebike parts I wanted to upgrade, and they answered patiently and provided some free upgrade services.
